Biography

Al Pfeffer played baseball in the demonstration game at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics. He was from Kentucky, where he later taught history and economics in high school. He also coached baseball and basketball, and served as the athletic director at Jefferson Community College in Kentucky. He had been a member of a state champion Little League team and then played semi-pro baseball for the Louisville Colonels and Tom’s Builders of the old Mid-Atlantic Baseball Association. He later founded the Free Clothing Enterprise, an organization that gave shoes to children through the Jefferson County School System and shoes and clothing to people in Eastern Kentucky
