Biography

Julien Bogaert started canoeing in 1940, after the German occupation of Belgium. He raced with KKYKC from Kortrijk, which at the time was the strongest canoeing club of Belgium. He competed in the kayak singles in London 1948, where he was eliminated in the heats. Bogaert retired from the sport in 1952, to focus on his business in saws.
