Herbert Wieninger was an Austrian music teacher and composer. He is considered to be one of the last imperial boy singers. He studied music theory and music education in Wien (Vienna), and then worked as an organist at various churches of Wien, as a coach (Wien Singing Club, Radio Choir) and music teacher at secondary schools in Wien. From 1961 Wieninger was a specialist inspector for music education at general secondary schools in Wien and professor of methodology and didactics in the Department of Music Education of the Academy of Music in Wien.
