Émile-Florent Lecomte was a Belgian impressionistic painter. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels, and took some courses in Genk. He painted mainly landscapes, gardens and parks, in a powerful, spontaneous style, in a color palette with attention to lighting effects. Lecomte also painted interiors, still lifes, figures and flowers, sometimes in a realistic style. He was a longtime director of the art magazine La Nervie.
