Biography

Aroldo Bellini studied in Perugia at the Academy of Fine Arts and graduated in 1924. He later produced 13 marble sculptures for the Foro Italico in Rome and some other bronze sculptures. Interesting is the story of the gigantic monument for the Duce Benito Mussolini, higher than the Statue of Liberty in New York, of which Bellini was able to perform only a foot and the head, before the fall of the Italian regime during World War II.
