Léa Caurla was entered into several women’s events at the 1948 London Olympics but did not start in any of them. She finished third in the 200 metres at the 1946 European Championships. With Anne-Marie Colchen and Monique Drilhon she helped set a French record in the 3x100 metre relay.
After her competitive career ended, Léa Caurla transitioned to male gender and lived life as Léon Caurla. He eventually married and became a father.
