Biography

Tom Collier was a quarter- and half-miler who was a member of Small Heath Harriers. He was in the quartet that won the Midland Counties AAA one-mile relay title for the first time in 1946, and that same year he also won the individual 440 yards title. Collier went on to win the Midlands 440 title in four successive years (1946-49). He was the Warwickshire 440 and 880 champion in 1947 and, in 1948, helped Small Heath regain the Midlands one mile relay title
