Biography

Lourembam Brojeshori Devi competed at the 2000 Olympic Games, as well as the 2002 Asian and Commonwealth Games. She later won golds at the 2006 and 2010 South Asian Games, and participated in numerous international judo contests. In 2013 she was working with the Central Reserve Police Force and was in the CRPF Training Centre in Coimbatore when she complained of stomach pain and died later the next day. The cause of death was found to be bleeding from an unknown pregnancy.
