Biography

Louis Attrill was a multi-talented sportsman as a youngster and excelled in rugby, cricket and kick-boxing, He took up rowing during his first year at Imperial College London and was a member of a crew that won at the Henley Royal Regatta at his first attempt. After the 1996 Olympics, the British eight was completely revamped and Attrill was one of the fresh faces who competed at the 1997 World Championships. Two years later the team was narrowly defeated for the world title by the USA but they turned the tables at the 2000 Lucerne Regatta and repeated this feat with a comfortable victory at the Sydney Olympics.
