Gudi Staub

Gudi Staub was a German beach volleyball player who tied ninth with Ulrike Schmidt at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Staub won German national titles with Schmidt in 1996, 1998, and 2000. Staub started her sports career as an indoor volleyball player in 1980. She played at club level with SV Saar 05 Saarbrücken (1980-86), CJD Feuerbach (1986-91), Florida Gators, USA (1991-92), RC Cannes, France (1993-95), USC Münster (1995-98), and Bayer 04 Leverskusen (1998-2004). In 1996 Staub helped Münster win the German national title, the German Cup and the CEV Cup. She won the German national title and the German Cup again the following year.

From 1987-90 Staub won four German Cups in a row with Feuerbach, and the national title from 1989-91. In 1995 she won the French national title with Cannes. From 2001-06 Staub coached the female Bundesliga team of Bayer 04 Leverkusen.
