Biography

Ski jumper Manfred Queck narrowly missed the podium at the 1968 Grenoble Winter Olympics on the large hill, finishing fourth. On the normal hill he placed 14th. Queck burst onto the scene in 1966/67, when he finished fifth at the Four Hills Tournament, finishing seventh one year later. That same year he earned his only East German title on the normal hill. Queck died fairly young at the age of 35.
