Gary Sampson

Gary Sampson was born in Ontario but grew up in the United States. He played college hockey at Boston College, and then was drafted by the Washington Capitals. Sampson played for four years in the NHL, all with the Caps, but he was up and down to the American Hockey League all four seasons, playing with the Binghamton Whalers and Baltimore Skipjacks. Injuries forced his retirement and he later settled in Alaska.
