Biography

Austrian ice hockey defender Walter Schneider played with Austria at the 1976 Innsbruck Winter Olympics. The team was eliminated in the group stage and placed eighth as second in the consolation round. Schneider won 69 international caps, scoring five goals and 14 assists. Domestically, he played with Wiener EV (1969-77 and 1978-84), VEU Feldkirch (1977-78), Klagenfurter AC (1984-85), Innsbrucker EV (1985-86), and EHC Lustenau (1986-87).
