Biography

Alois Schnorbus was the pilot of the West German four-man bob together with Jürgen Hofmann, Lothar Pongratz and Martin Meinberg at the 1980 Lake Placid Winter Games, where they finished 10th. In 1982, he won the West German four-man bob national title. He also won three youth European titles, in 1977-78 with the four-man bob, and in 1978 also won the two-man bob. By profession, Schnorbus was an authorized officer of the Winterberg ice rink, and also served as president of his home club BSC Winterberg for many years.
