Craig Thrasher raced downhill and combined at the 1994 Lillehammer Winter Olympic. Thrasher competed at the 1989 World Junior Championships but started skiing World Cup races only a few months before Lillehammer. He was on the US Ski Team through the 1996/97 season, appearing in his last World Cup event at Chamonix in January 1997. A speed skier, Thrasher was runner-up in downhill at the 1995 US Nationals. His best World Cup finish was 14th in a combined shortly before the 1994 Winter Olympics. Thrasher and his wife later owned and operated a restaurant in Minneapolis.
