Dave Tretowicz played college hockey at Clarkson, graduating in 1991 with majors in engineering and management. In his rookie year he had been drafted by the Calgary Flames in the 11th round of the NHL entry draft, but Tretowicz never played in the NHL. For the United States he competed at the 1991 World Championships and the 1992 Winter Olympics. Tretowicz had a brief professional hockey career, playing in the International Hockey League from 1991-94, with the Phoenix Roadrunners and the Fort Wayne Komets. He later went into business, working for Cooper Crouse-Hinds in the Syracuse area, where he is director of operations for electrical products, and is also responsible for Crouse-Hinds Outlet Boxes and the Amarillo Foundry.
