Biography

Michael Veith was a downhill racer who competed at the 1976 Innsbruck and 1980 Lake Placid Winter Olympics. He finished a disappointing 22nd and 23rd, respectively. He was a member of the West German national team from 1973-82, and had his greatest moment in 1978, when he won a downhill silver medal at the Alpine Word Championships.

Veith later trained as a marketing clerk, and owned the Michael Veith Sportmarketing Company. He also occasionally worked as a television commentator.
