Biography

Austrian ice hockey forward Fritz Wechselberger played with Austria at the 1964 Innsbruck Winter Olympics. The team was eliminated at the group stage. Domestically, he played with Innsbrucker EV, Kitzbüheler EC, EHC Feldkirch, and VEU Feldkirch.

After his active career Wechselberger worked as a coach in Feldkirch and also as the first coach of the Watten ice hockey team. He also taught at the Tyrolean vocational school for optics in Hall and ran his own opticians in Wattens.
