Biography

Camillo Zanolli was one of the stars of cross-country skiing at Val di Zoldo. He was a member of the national team for many years, and competed at the 1956 Olympic Winter Games where he was 26th in the 30 km. He also took part in the 1958 World Championships at Lahti, Finland. That same year, Zanolli won a gold medal at the Military World Championships. Domestically, he won two national titles at 30 km. in 1956 and 1957. He also won a 50 km. silver (1956) and 30 km. bronze (1955). In 2014, Zanollii was awarded the “Unforgettable” award by the Trichiana Ski Club in honour of his past cross-sountry results.
