West German flatwater canoeist Dirk Ulaszewski was eliminated in the semi-finals of the K-1 1,000 at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. He also participated in two ICF Flatwater Canoe World Championships, and won two national titles.
Ulaszewski later worked in the sports business as well as in direct sales for many years. He then moved to Gran Canaria, and became a freelance personal trainer, and distribution and marketing consultant.
