Olympic Programme Commission ()

The Olympic Programme Commission reviews and analyzes the Olympic Programme, reviewing sports, disciplines, and events for each sport at the Games of the Olympiad and the Olympic Winter Games. It also develops recommendations on the principles and structure of the Olympic Programme. These criteria are grouped in several areas, including history and tradition, universality, popularity, relevance to youth, image and environment, athlete health, and International Federation (IF) development and costs. The commission makes recommendations to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Board and presents reports to the IOC Session. The commission is composed of IOC Members and representatives from the National Olympic Committees and the International Federations. The current chair as of 2022 is Karl Stoss.
