There were three sculpture events in the 1948 Arts Competition – Medals and Plaques, Reliefs, and Sculptures. There were 72 participants from 17 nations, with the most popular event the Sculptures, which had well over 100 works submitted. No gold medal was given in Medals and Plaques and only a bronze medal was given in Reliefs. There were a few works submitted that cannot be classified and we list as in an Unknown Event.
