½-1 Ton (Race #2), Open

Race Two took place three days after Race One of this class, on 27 May. Although 33 boats had entered this class, only 18 boats started Race Two of the ½-1 Ton Class, with the “Scotia,” winner of Race One, as the only foreign entry. This time, only French yachts made the top three: Louis Auguste-Dormeuil with his “Carabinier” in first, “Scamasaxe” in second, and “Crabe II” in third place.

“Scotia” failed to repeat its previous successes, and seven yachts failed to finish, while “Aschenbrödel” was not allowed to start and moved up one class. There were significant changes in the handicaps for Race Two, although the reason for this is not known. Prizes for Race Two were as follows: 1st – 1,500 francs; 2nd – 800 francs; 3rd – 500 francs; 4th – 250 francs; and 5th – 150 francs.
