Biography

Stig-Arne Gunnestad played on the Norwegian rink that placed second at the 1992 Winter Olympics in the curling demonstration event. He again made the Norwegian team in 1998 and won a bronze medal at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, after curling had returned to the Olympic Program as a medal event. He continued to compete in curling through 2014, competing at the 2013 World Seniors Championship. Gunnestad won two European Championships bronze medals during his career.
