Biography

Daniel Levy played basketball for Israel at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics. He was on the national team from 1952-54. He started his club career with Hapoel Haifa, but then moved to Mikve Israel and later Hapoel Holon and finished his career with Maayran Baruch. Levy stopped playing competitively in 1961 and became a coach, coaching the men at Elitzur Tel Aviv, Hapoel Tel Aviv, Palmachim, and Sha’ar Hanegev. He then shifted to women’s teams, working with Hapoel Tel Aviv, Elitzur Tel Aviv, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Hapoel Holon, Elitzur Petah Tikva, Bnei Yehuda, and Hapoel Jerusalem.
