Biography

Ulrike Holzner was a German track & field long jumper and pentathlete before she turned to bobsleigh. She won the German national title with the pentathlon team in 2000. She then won the silver medal with Sandra Prokoff at the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics in the two-women event. The pair also won the silver medal at the 2003 World Championships. Both were awarded the Silver Bay Leaf, Germany’s highest sports award.
