Biography

Julie Goskowicz was a short-track speed skater who raced the women’s relay at the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. As a 13-year-old, she had nearly qualified for the 1994 Olympic team. A bronze medalist at the 1997 World Junior Championships, she qualified as an alternate for the US short-track team in Nagano 1998. She won bronze medals at the 1996 World Short-Track Championships in the relay and the team event. Goskowicz’s brother, Tony Goskowicz, was on the USA Team at the 1994 Lillehammer Winter Olympics but did not compete.
