Biography

Maylon Hanold competed in whitewater canoeing at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. After her competitive career ended she taught sea kayaking for various groups, and also helped coach the US junior whitewater slalom team.

Hanold studied at the University of Washington, but later did graduate work at Harvard and Seattle University. She became a professor of sports administration and leadership at Seattle Universty, where she taught sport sociology, leadership development, and management, with a primary focus on women in sport leadership.
