Joseph “Stretch” Dronzek was an electrician from Yonkers, New York at the time of the 1964 Olympics. He and his boatmate, James O’Rourke, Jr., won the AAU title in C-2 in both 1963 and 1964, the 1964 title qualifying them for the Tokyo Olympics. They represented the Yonkers Canoe Club, and later were part of the 1965 C-4 AAU Champions. Dronzek graduated from Saunders Technical High School.
