Biography

Janou Lefèbvre won two Olympic silver medals in team jumping in both 1964 and 1968. In 1970, she won the inaugural world ladies’ show jumping champion as Janou Lefèbvre. She then married and as Janou Tissot, she defended that title in 1974 at La Baule, France. The championship had since been discontinued as the women now compete alongside the men in a single, combined world championship.
