Isa, Sheik Al Khalifa

Sheikh Isa bin Rashid Al Khalifa of Bahrain graduated from Ain Shams University in Egypt in 1963 and became a judge in Bahraini courts for the next five years. Sheik Al Khalifa then worked as a legal adviser before joining Bahrain’s Ministry of Defense, with him eventually becoming the undersecretary of the Ministry of Information. His focus then switched to sport where he served as the President of the General Organization for Youth and Sports and the President of the Bahrain Football Association. From 1978 to 2009 Al Khalifa also served as the President of the National Olympic Committee of Bahrain and was awarded with the Olympic Order in Silver in 1985.
