Biography

Bruno Rambaudi was a member of the Organising Committee for the 1997 Ski World Championships, he was also vice-president of TOROC, the Organising Committee for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino. For this role he was a recipient of the silver Olympic Order.

An industrialist, Rambaudi was managing director of Rambaudi Industriale S.p.A, a major worldwide supplier of high-speed machines, and from 1980 was the company’s chairman. Among his other many appointments, Rambaudi was president of the Union of Italian Machine Tool Manufacturers (UCIMU) from 1985-87, was the general commissioner of the World Machine Tool and Robotics Exposures (EMO) in 1987, and in Italy, was vice-president of Federmeccanica from 1986-90.
