Biography

Adler Capelli was an Italian track cyclist. His first student club was the G.S. Galliera and he subsequently moved to Cebora in Calderara di Reno.

Capelli won two consecutive gold medals in the team pursuit at the 1996 and 1997 World Championships and is among the very few Italian cyclists to have taken part in three Olympic Games. His palmarès include a bronze medal at the 1991 Junior World Championships at Colorado Springs in the individual pursuit, as well as several Italian titles for students and juniors: three in the individual pursuit, four in the 1,000 m time trial, three in the team pursuit, and one in the sprint. Capelli never turned pro.
