Hong Kong cyclist Chow Kwong Choibegan his competitive career in the late 1950s, winning a medal at the Asian Cycling Championships in 1961. Three years later Chow competed on both the road and track at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. Although he finished 91st in the individual road race, he was in the main peloton of riders who were only 0.2 seconds behind the race winner, with him also finishing 30th in the 100 kilometres team trial. In the velodrome he competed in the 4,000 metres individual pursuit but did not finish in his heat. One year later he competed at the 1965 Asian Cycling Championships. Chow’s twin brother also competed at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics.
