Biography

Despite the Great War taking place, Kristian Frisch still had an active career as an amateur cyclist in both his native Denmark and across Europe. In 1915 Frisch won the Zealand Tour in København, before finishing third in the individual time trial at the Nordic Championships a year later. His most successful year was 1917, when he became the Danish amateur champion in both the road race and the individual time trial, and won the Mälaren Runt one-day race in Stockholm. Frisch continued to have consistent results, including coming third in the amateur road race at the 1919 National Championships. One year later he finished 19th in the individual road race at the 1920 Antwerpen Olympics and placed fourth in the combined team event.
