Biography

Gianni Ghidini was an Italian cyclist who was added to the Italian national amateur team for the 1951 World Championships, and won the road title by a wheel-length over his teammate Rino Benedetti. Ghidini competed at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics, finishing seventh in the road race and winning a silver in the team road race. He turned pro in 1953 and had a short career in the professional peleton. Ghidini rode for Atala-Lygie and Girardengo, but without significant results and he left professional cycling after the 1955 season.
