Oscar Giacché had the following podium finishes at major championships: 1st in the 1951 Pan American Games road time trail, 1st in the 1951 Pan American Games 4000 metre pursuit team (with Pedro Salas, Rodolfo Caccavo, and the non-Olympian Alberto García).
