In 1928 Swedish cyclist Erik Jansson was part of the trio that won the team time trial classification at the national championships. This result earned Jansson a place on the Olympic team for the Games in Amsterdam, where he finished 14th in the individual road race and won bronze in the combined team event. He won two more team time trial titles at the Swedish championships (1929, 1931), and the Mälaren Runt one-day race in 1936.
