Biography

Andy Paulin rode the team time trial for the United States at the 1988 Seoul Olympics, the team placing 10th. Paulin survived a near-fatal crash at the 1985 Milk Race to return to the peloton, placing third later that year at the Tour of Australia. In 1986 he won the National Prestige Classic point standings. His best year was 1987 when he won the Michelob Omnium in Atlanta, was second in the US Nationals in the team time trial, and won a gold medal in the team time trial at the Pan American Games. Paulin retired from top-level competition after missing the 1992 Olympic team. He later became a real estate agent in the Santa Cruz, California area.
