Biography
Born in Rīga in 1911, Voldemārs Lassi started his cycling career in 1932, later becoming a USSR champion. In 1936 Lassi was selected to ride in the road race at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, but did not start the event. He also worked as a mechanic in a cycling club. Lassi was only a few days shy of his 50th birthday when he died in November 1961.
