Biography

Andrew Weaver made the 1980 US Olympic team that did not compete, but then took two years off from competitive cycling to focus on his studies in architecture at the University of Florida, and to regain some health. Weaver suffered from chronic, hereditary high blood pressure. During his career he was a nine-time US Champion, and won a gold medal in the team time trial at the 1983 Pan American Games, in addition to his bronze medal in the event at the 1984 Olympics.

Weaver earned his architecture degree and later received a masters’ in architecture from MIT. He established Weaver+Associates Architects in 1994 and became a Registered Architect in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire and Maine specializing in resort/golf-related projects, private institutional, sports and multi-family projects.
