Biography

Luís Pratmasó played hockey (field) for Spain at the 1948 London Olympics, while playing for Futbol Club Barcelona. Pratmasó was actually better known as a track athlete, and was entered in the 400 and 800 metres at the 1936 Olympics, but did not start either event, as Spain withdrew from Berlin due to the ongoing Spanish Civil War. He was Spanish champion in 1936 in the 400 metres. Pratmasó set Catalonian records in the pentathlon (1935), 800 metres (1936), and the rarely run 300 metres (1937).
