Biography

Barb Marois competed in hockey at the 1988 and 1996 Olympics. She also won three medals at the Pan American Games, with silvers in 1987 and 1995, and a bronze in 1991. Marois competed for the US at the 1995 Champions Trophy tournament, winning a bronze medal. She also played in the World Cup in 1986, 1990, and 1994, and was named USA Field Hockey Athlete of the Year for four consecutive years, 1991-94.

Marois played in college at the University of New Hampshire where she was an All-American in 1984 and helped them to the 1985 NCAA title. In 1986 she was named UNH Athlete of the Year. She later settled in York, Maine, where she taught high school physical education and coached field hockey. Marois was inducted into the USA Field Hockey Hall of Fame in 2004,
