Biography

Swedish archer Anna-Lisa Berglund was a 16-time national champion and set two world records in the 30 metres event. During her long career Berglund competed at three Olympic Games, six World Championships, and seven European Championships, winning gold at the latter in 1970. She made her début at the Olympics at the 1972 Games in München, finishing 34th in the individual event. Four years later she had her best result at the Olympics when she placed 11th at the Montréal Games. Berglund’s third and final Olympic appearance came at the 1980 Moskva Games, this time finishing 16th. Throughout her career she represented Vänersborgs BK, with her being awarded with the Storr Grabb award in 1971.
