Biography

Edward Brooke had the following podium finishes at major championships: 2nd in the 1950 British Empire Games Sabre Team (with George Pouliot and Robert Desjarlais), 2nd in the 1954 British Empire and Commonwealth Games Épée Team (with Roland Asselin and Carl Schwende), 3rd in the 1950 British Empire Games Épée Team (with George Pouliot and Robert Desjarlais). In the 1950 British Empire Games Brooke finished fifth in the épée individual, eighth in the sabre individual, and competed also in the foil individual. In the 1954 British Empire and Commonwealth Games he finished fifth in the épée individual and was eliminated in the pools of the sabre individual.
