Biography

The 1904 Olympic archery events were the first big wins for Phil Bryant. But he later went on to win the United States title in 1905, 1909, 1911 and 1912. Bryant graduated from Harvard and Harvard Law School. He practiced law in Boston for 18 years before taking an executive’s position with the Brant Rock Water Company in his hometown of Marshfield. He also served on the Marshfield Board of Selectman. His wife Edith was also an accomplished archer and won the national handicap round at the 1912 US championships.
