German fencer Heinrich Ziegler competed in individual foil at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics, but was eliminated in the first round. With the German épée team he qualified for the semi-finals but missed the final. In 1914 Ziegler was German foil champion. He was killed-in-action during World War I.
