Biography

George Dodd competed at the 1920 Olympics in both singles and doubles, making the quarter-finals of both events. Dodd was South African singles champion in 1912 and was runner-up in 1914, 1922, and 1924. He played Wimbledon in 1919-20, making the third round of singles both years. In 1920 he and Cecil Blackbeard made the doubles quarter-finals. Dodd played one tie in the 1919 Davis Cup for South Africa, winning one of three matches.
