Biography

Goalkeeper Manuela Goller was a member of the German female football squad eliminated in the group stage at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. In 1995 she became European Champion and World Cup runner-up. She was therefore awarded the Silver Bay Leaf, Germany’s highest sports award. Goller won 45 international caps.

Domestically, Goller played with SSG 09 Bergisch Gladbach (1988-92), Grün-Weiß Brauweiler (1992-97), and Sportfreunde Siegen (2000-01). In 1997 she helped Brauweiler win the German national title and the German Cup in 1994 and 1997. By profession, she was a state-certified farmer and worked on her parents’ farm at Weiler Egen near Wipperfürth.
