Biography

Jutta Nardenbach was one of the German pioneers of women’s football (soccer). She had her greatest moments winning the European Championships in 1989 and 1991. At the Women’s World Cup she helped the German team to fourth in 1991. With the German team she also placed fifth at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. Nardenbach earned 59 international caps and scored four goals.

Domestically, Nardenbach played in the German Bundesliga for TuS Ahrbach (until 1990), renamed TuS Niederkirchen (1994-96), TSV Siegen (1990-94), FC Rumeln-Kaldenhausen (1996-98), SC 07 Bad Neuenahr (1998-2000), 1. FFC Frankfurt (2000-02), FFC Brauweiler-Pulheim (2003-04) and SG Essen-Schönebeck (2004-05). With Siegen she claimed the German Championship in 1991, 1992, and 1994, also winning the German Cup in 1993. In 2001 and 2002 she won the doubles with Frankfurt, and also the UEFA Women’s Cup.

Nardenbach retired in 2004 for health reasons and started coaching, first with the juniors of FC Urbar, and as girl advisor for FV Rheinland. She then worked with FFC Montabaur and played in the first team. She worked for several years in a sports shop in Ruppach-Goldhausen.
